How To Develop Winning Faith In Hard Times

It's been a while now but bless God who has kept, preserved and sustained you despite the difficult times. Today is my birthday and I want to thank God so much for adding another living year to my years. It is only the living that celebrates a birthday.

The dead have years but cannot celebrate them because they are 'dead years'. Please join me to thank God for another opportunity to celebrate a living year. I've already reserved Sunday for a Special birthday thanksgiving Service.

Remember whatever you thank God for keeps multiplying.

As a part of marking my birthday, I am inspired to encourage you with this little piece of mine on How to Develop a Winning Faith in Hard Times.

Before I go on it is good we establish these five Facts about hard times.

THE FIVE (5) FACTS ABOUT HARD TIMES

i) HARD TIMES IS REAL

ii) HARD TIMES IS HERE

iii) NOBODY CAN RUN AWAY OR PRAY AWAY HARD TIMES

iv) HARD TIMES DOES NOT RESPECT PERSONS, PLACES OR RACE

v) YOU CAN OVERCOME HARD TIMES ANYDAY, ANYTIME AND ANYWHERE

I think one of the things everybody is grappling with globally is the current wave of hard times. The economies of nations are not stable, employments are been cut down by the day, Government policies lack direction, prices are rising, crises and wars are ravaging nations, migration is on the increase, currencies of nations are fast losing value and hunger has dealt with families.

You cannot deny the presence of hard times! Based on the five facts about hard times all that you need right now is an antidote.

May I quickly encourage you, as a friend! There is an answer. For sure, you can overcome Hard Times. That is the purpose of this message.

Let me quickly intimate you with this; hard times is not a new phenomenon. It is as old as time. It has been happening from ages to ages and people have been overcoming it. Don't be afraid you are going to overcome. At this point, I will be briefly examining the seven (7) keys to overcoming hard times.

SEVEN (7) KEYS TO OVERCOMING HARD TIMES

1. REPROGRAM YOUR MIND

The first easy target of hard times is the mind of any individual. If your mind is captured your life is endangered. The strength of any hard times is not the negative realities people go through rather what their five (5) Senses which are the sum total of their minds have made them to believe.

If you allow your un-renewed and un-informed mind to control you in times of hard times you are finished. It is your negative mind that tells you there are no more jobs, businesses and opportunities in the land. But that is not the true position. People are still getting jobs, contracts and open doors in hard times. Mind you where your mind swings is where you belong.

In hard times reprogram your mind. When you see positive, think positive and talk positively; you will definitely experience positive.

2. LISTEN TO FAITH TEACHINGS, WORDS AND TESTIMONIES

Faith is the only tested and trusted answer to every hard times in any age, time and generation. There are no hard times that Faith in God cannot cheaply handle. Remember the victory that overcomes the world is your Faith. (1 John 5: 4). If you believe that God can bring water out of your desert and make a way in your wilderness; definitely, He will.

3. PREPARE FOR HARD TIMES

Anything you do not prepare for has every tendency to overcome you. People are badly hit by hard times because they never prepared for it. One is asking now 'Do I need to actually prepare for hard times; if yes how and when? Listen, before hard times there is always good times.

What you do with and in your good times predicts what is going to happen in your hard times.

For instance, during your good times when you had money, opportunities to gather did you save and plan? If the answer is no there is no way hard times will not catch you napping Or take you by surprise when it comes.

During your active years, what did you do with your strength? We've been told that there are two vital seasons in every persons life: the Earning and Yearning years. What you do with your Earning years predicts with accuracy your Yearning years.

4. CHANGE YOUR ASSOCIATION (MOVE WITH MEN AND WOMEN OF FAITH)

You cannot be better and stronger than the company of men and women that you keep. In times of hard times the people around you matter so much. The reason is that such individuals create either positive or negative influences around you.

Moreover, you need a strong positive influence to victoriously deal with hard times. During hard times you don't need wrong influences around you.

5. EXERCISE YOUR FAITH AGAINST THE CHALLENGES YOU FACE

The only way you can scare any challenge you face is not to run away from it rather to face it. Besides, any challenge of life you face is half defeated. But any challenge you run away from has full time defeated you.

David faced Goliath but Saul ran away from him. The question is 'Who defeated Goliath?' David, of course.

Don't run away from hard times stand and face it. Until you stand still and face your challenger you will never see the salvation of The Lord. That thing the enemy has said it is not possible with you in hard times; tell him that it is possible by the grace of God.

6. LEARN TO MAKE BOLD AND WINNING CONFESSIONS AND DECLARATIONS

In any battle the greatest strength is Confidence. And the highest expression of Confidence is confession or declaration. Moreover, this is the greatest secret of Faith. What you cannot say boldly you have not believed deeply.

That was David's secret in bringing down the giant - Goliath. You will bring down that giant facing you this time, in Jesus name! Don't joke with saying positive things about yourself, family, business, job, health, finances and what have you as that is one of the surest ways to compel divine intervention.

7. GIVING

The most difficult times to give is hard times, but that remains the best time to give. Understand this, there is nothing you cannot give out. You can give out poverty, sickness, barrenness, joblessness, affliction and so on.

Anytime you are faced with hard times it is a sign that something needed to go out of you for something to come to you.

You better believe this!

The widow of Zarephet gave to Elijah in difficult times and her story changed.
The woman of shunem gave to Elisha at a very critical time, and God gave her a lifetime change.
Abraham gave Isaac and God gave him all that he needed.

I want to believe that God has spoken to you through this small message. I want to believe that change is coming your way right now. People will not laugh at you anymore. May I prophesy over your life: every difficulty, hard times, frustration and worry trailing your life comes to end now; in Jesus Name!
