For instance, the foreign policies of President Donald Trump as it relates to protecting the United States and banning immigrants of certain countries from entering the US should be defined and explained to the understanding of the general public for the purpose of having an informed opinion and objective position regarding the matter.
One of the reasons i'm writing this article is that as it stands now, the whole world especially the Muslims believe that President Donald Trump, by extension United States has declared an open war against Islam. And bear in mind that any war against a religion is a religious war; and as a matter of fact, religious war does not end until the religion goes into extinct.
Besides, it will be very dangerous and volatile for a country like the US (a known promoter of global peace) to prosecute a global religious war against any religion.
The reasons are:
1. The war will not end as far as the religion is still in existence.
2. The scale would be more than imagined. It would no longer be the US versus the 7 shortlisted Islamic nations rather Christianity versus Islam.
The far reaching effect will be any nation on earth where these two religions are practiced the war will spread to that place without any reason.
3. It will go beyond the control of world Government. No Government of the world can control religious war because at the root of it is the belief of the people. And every man's belief is his or her life. My earnest prayer to God is let's not get there.
The purpose of this article is to establish the fact that President Donald Trump's real intention is not to fight Islam as a religion rather to fight religious extremism and extremists which by-product is terrorism, violence, wanton destruction etc.
However, the earlier he publicly makes this known to the world through words and actions the better for everybody. I believe Donald Trump knows the implications of religious war.
The problem of the Donald Trump's recent Foreign policies is that they are well intended, but poorly and hastily implemented. However, it's not yet late to make amends where necessary. After all, nobody is above mistake only God.
Moreover, there is nothing dishonorable in a President recalling or withdrawing an ill implemented policy and possibly apologizing and setting it right. Repentance is not a sign of weakness rather wisdom and strength on the part of anybody.
Let me make it clear again to say I don't think President Donald Trump intends to fight Islamic religion or Muslims though his ill implemented policies and his temperamental public statements infer that. Above all, let's look at the intent more than the form.
If actually Donald Trump mean to fight Islam he knows where to start i guess from the headquarters - Saudi and spread it to Quatar, UAE. Besides, he will have to contend as well with the Muslim and Arab Americans who have equal rights with him as American citizens.
My appeal to the affected public of Donald Trump's foreign policies especially as it relates to the ban on immigrants from certain countries is to be patient with him, consider his intention more than his form (his intention to protect America is right, his form to ban nationals of certain countries without considering the provision of the US constitution is wrong).
I am sure President Trump is aware that the founding fathers of the United States established the American values on the tripod of: Freedom, Equality and Justice. Therefore, any policy that falls short of these three (3) should be considered Anti-US the reason(s) not withstanding.
You cannot protect the US beyond the provision and stipulation of the American Constitution.
